Do I need a partner to join?
Not at all. The majority of our students come solo. In class we rotate partners regularly so everyone gets to dance with multiple people. It is actually one of the best ways to meet people.
Can I come with a partner and not rotate?
Yes, that is totally fine. Just let the instructor know at the start of class and you can stay together. Most couples and friends who come together still choose to rotate because it speeds up learning, but it is completely your call.
When can I start?
New beginner intakes run every few weeks. The next ones are April 22 and April 26. Sign up and we will reach out personally within 24 hours to get you sorted.
Which days are beginner classes on?
Beginner Salsa and Bachata run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. You can attend as many as you like each week. Most beginners start with 2 to 3 per week and build from there.
I have two left feet. Is this really for me?
Yes, and you are exactly who this program is designed for. Every single person who is now dancing confidently at LJ started exactly where you are. The 21 Day Kickstarter is specifically structured so that total beginners feel comfortable and make real progress fast.
What if I miss a class?
Just cancel your booking on the LJ App. You can catch up any missed class at another session during the current payment period! The program is designed so you can attend in whatever order works for your schedule.
What level am I?
If you have never danced Salsa or Bachata before, you start at 100 level. If you have danced before elsewhere, we will assess you at your first class and place you in the right level. There is no ego involved, everyone starts where they will grow fastest.
Can I freeze or cancel?
Yes. Monthly memberships can be cancelled with 14 days notice. You can freeze anytime with 5 days notice. The 6-month plan runs for 6 months then cancels automatically, or you can switch to monthly after that.
